Lynda Goddard
Lynda works full time as a landscape architect, lives in The Lodge on the Aspotogan Peninsula and paints as a hobby. She graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Design in Environmental Planning in 1986. Since that time she has worked as a landscape architect in British Columbia and Nova Scotia. Her work involves the preparation of plans and presentation drawings including aerial and ground level perspectives.
She began painting after taking several workshops with Jan Shilletto who is very encouraging and supportive.
Her journey of learning to paint is inspired by the place where she lives; the rugged simplicity of the coastal peninsula, the clean air and clarity of light, the intensity of colour, the power of the ocean, the struggling yet vibrant rural culture and a belief that it is a great privilege to live in such a place at this time.
