I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. My love for drawing began very early in my life as I would draw sketches of students in my classrooms. I am primarily self taught and began painting in oil over 30 years ago. I love to paint realistic art because there is so much beauty around us.

I specialize in oil painting and pastel portraits and have studied art with many qualified teachers here in Canada and the United States. Part of my art education came while attending Brigham Young University in Utah for two summers and during a five-month stay in South Carolina. My work is enjoyed by many and is in private collections in Canada, the United States, England and Germany. I am currently living in beautiful Nova Scotia and an active member in the Aspotogan Arts & Craft Club.
