Carol Vaughan
Carol Vaughan was born and brought up in Toronto and later lived over thirty years in Guelph, Ontario. In 1998, she and her husband Fred retired to Fred’s native Nova Scotia and built their home on the shores of St. Margaret’s Bay in Northwest Cove.
There, Carol was able to fulfill a life-long ambition to paint in watercolours. Her first lesson was with Patricia MacCulloch at an evening course at the Apotagan Consolidated Elementary School. She has since taken courses and workshops throughout the Maritimes.
Carol belongs to a group of painters who paint every Monday afternoon, year round, often out of doors. The congeniality and talent of this group is a source of constant encouragement.
Carol has displayed her work at the May Show of the Aspotagan Arts and Crafts Group as well as at various other local shows. She has been privileged to have sold several pieces at these shows.
Carol says the Aspotagan Pensinsula is so beautiful that you either move here because you are already an artist or you wish to become an artist once you have moved here.
